London, England. October 1st, 1940.
The Ju-52 Transports carrying Chancellor Peter von Kruger, his wife, two children and a couple of his staff touched down in London after an uneventful flight. The Ju-52 taxied to a stop before the Terminal and the door ramp was lowered. Peter exited first, wearing his military Uniform. Following was his wife and children and the his staff. They climbed down the stairs and took in the sites of the airfield.

Peter and his family were immediately met by members of the SAS, who were acting as a protective detail, as well as an armored limousine. From here, they were whisked in a relatively comfortable, uneventful ride to number 10 Downing Street. They were immediately ushered in, and greeted by Sir Thomas Andrews, who was once again, dressed formally in the uniform of a full colonel of the Royal Tank Regiments. He grinned at Chancellor von Kruger, and extended his hand.
"Mr. Chancellor, always a pleasure."

Peter nodded and took the Prime Ministers hand and shook strongly.
"Guten Tag Herr Andrews, it is a pleasure to see you once again. My I introduce my wife, Kayla and our girls Elizabeth and Samantha."
Both Peters wife and the two little girls nodded and smiled at the Prime Minister and then Kayla spoke up. "Well we have lots of site seeing to do while you two meet. So sir you do would be so kind."

"Please, by all means, m'lady."
He bowed flamboyantly; he still had the old cavalryman's charm.
"It was a pleasure making your acquaintances, ladies; my men shall take good care of you, and see that you get to see what your heart desires."
He grinned, and rose from his bow. He watched the women leave, and smiled a bit.
"You're a lucky man, Peter. So... what can I do for you today?"

Peter watched his family and nodded, grinning. "Most indeed. They are the ones that keep me going sometimes. So Herr Andrews, now that we are alone how are things here in England? And more to the point what is the situation between you and France?"

"...We've moved to a formal state of war this morning, I'm afraid. The French were responsible for hitting the Southhampton Harbor complex with a terrorist attack. We're left with no choice but to deal with the madman. It's a shame, really. I'd hoped to avoid this."
He sighed slightly, glancing at the Chancellor, waiting for a response.

Peter nodded slowly. *So this is what it comes to.*
"I see, is there reports on how many killed? And..." Peter sighed as well, looking over the Prime Minister.
"I take it I will not be traveling to France after our meeting as I do not wish to endanger my family. I guess they will have to enjoy their little outing today and then head back to Germany tonight. Anyways on to business. At the moment Germany is going to stay out of this, as I have much going on. One thing I am worried about is the Alliance Brazil and France have and what this will cause. Though if any Germans are hurt I will come down like the plague did so many years ago..."

"Hard to say; they hit the port facilities with bombs before their attack. Best guess... 20 killed; thirty plus injured. We were lucky we had the SAS on training exercises nearby."
He sighed, and poured himself a glass of scotch, taking a pull.
"Can I get you something to drink, Peter?"

Peter nodded, "Most indeed my friend I do believe I will take a drink. Scotch is quite good for now. And did they just hit a military target or did they also hit civilians? I must say I was hoping to diffuse this before we had another war on our hands. And it has been along time sense France and England fought each other. Would have thought that this would have been put behind you. Guess you can never truly know what will happen..."

"Civilians; which is all the more distasteful. I had hoped that we'd put it behind us.... but alas, I was wrong."
He poured the man a glass of Scotch, and handed it to him.
"Would that Alain had not been deposed and killed..."

"Ah yes good old Alain.. he was a good man and had his country well at hand, or so we thought..."
Peter took the glance and sipped at it. "So I take it you will be hitting back soon? And Civilians.. De Gulle is a military man. He should understand..."

"Yes; operations are already underway. They caught us a bit flat-footed, but with the recent wars and uprisings, and all... not terribly so. I expect combat operations against strategic targets to be starting... soon."
He sighed a bit.
"...Yes, DeGaulle should've known better. You would've thought so, at least. All's the pity."
