Constanta, Romania. May 2nd, 1940.
Lieutenant General Kurt Student stood on the airfield watching his troops load up into their planes. Thousands were in the process of getting into the big Ju-52 Junkers Transport planes, or loading up into Gotha Go 242 Gliders. Kurt smiled to himself as he thought about all that was being thrown at the Turks. Already a large task force was heading towards the coast, having left the night before. Now in the early pre-dawn darkness the first phase of the operation was being launched.
"General, the first wave is loaded and waiting for the order." Kaptain Wulf Engleman said to the General.
"Excellent, give the order Wulf. I am heading to my plane now."
"Aye General, see you in the next flight." Wulf said, saluting.
Kurt saluted back and nodded, then moved to get aboard his own Ju-52. Once aboard he took up a spot next to the cockpit and chatted with the pilot and his troopers. After a few minutes the plane got the word to start up and taxi out of the runway. A few minutes latter the plane was hurling into the air, heading for a uncertain future.
All over Romania this seen was repeated as 956 Ju-52s, 396 He-111s, 117 Ju-88A1s and 513 Go-242 Gliders lifted into the air. They were being escorted by 294 Bf-109Fs and 36 Bf-110Cs heading for the coast of Turkey around Sinop. Ahead of them another 195 Bf-109Fs and 108 Bf-110Cs raced ahead to help clear the way for the transports, which carried the 1st and 2nd Fallchimjager Divisions, and the 1st Sturm Regiment
Below them a small Landing forces could be seen heading for the coast as well, being escorted by the small but lethal Romanian Navy.

Entering Turkish Territory 07:30 AM, May 2nd, 1940.
General Major Hermann Klein looked around him and smiled. Any way he looked he could see German Bf-109s and Bf-110s, a testament to the power of the German Luftwaffe. Hermann couldn't help but think that only a few years ago the German military had been nothing to think about, now it was one of the largest in the World. He glanced again and waved to his wingman, Lieutenant Jergin Marcks who had been on his wing for over two years now. The coast of Turkey now appeared and Hermann could clearly see his target, the coastal city of Sinop.
As the formation flew over the coast and the city small puffs of smoke could be seen filling the air around them. Anti-Aircraft Artillery. Hermann wiggled his wings and pointed down so that Jergin could see him and then descended, heading for the Sinop Airfield. Following him were the Forty-Eight planes of 1st Gruppe/Jadgeschwader 53. They quickly descended and began strafing the airfield, trying to hit what artillery positions they could.
The attack went on for fifteen minutes, with the different Gruppe's taking turns strafing the run road. After the 109s went in the Bf-110Cs went in themselves, hitting the airfield and also any troop concentrations they could find.
Now the main event was on, Hermann could see as the second wave of Aircraft arrived over Turkish territory. Over fifteen hundred Aircraft arrived and headed for their assigned airdrops. A few minutes later the skies were full of Parachutes as the elite of the German Army jumped from the skies. Two full Divisions and a Glider Regiment began landing on the Sinop airfield and the area around the city. Hermann couldn't help but smile as the turned his plane back towards Romania, knowing that Germany would turn out on top in this War.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sinop Airfield; Sinop, Turkey. 07:50 AM, May 2nd, 1940.
General Lieutenant Kurt Student ducked behind a sandbagged Machine-Gun position and looked over the area. All over his troopers were landing on the ground and quickly organizing. They were quickly hitting the airfield and trying to secure it so that reinforcements could arrive and reinforce them. A rather large explosion was heard off to Kurt's left rear and when he turned to look he say the wreckage of a Ju-52 and he quickly looked away.
"We need to get rid of those Flak Cannons and quickly!" Kurt shouted to Major General Richard Heidrich, commander of the 1st Fallchimjager Division.
"Aye Sir, I am sending my First Regiment to hit the airfield from the South. They should be in action within the next few minutes." Richard replied.
"Good." Kurt said ducking as a shadow flew over him, as a Go-242 Glider came in for landing. Hundreds of them were coming down now, bringing in troopers of the 1st Sturm Regiment and more importantly artillery pieces.
"Sir, we have taken some prisoners. Looks like they are from the Turkish 45th Infantry Division." said a trooper coming up to the Generals.
"Well guess we are in for a fight." Richard said, grinning.
Kurt nodded. "That we are, move your forces forward Richard. We need to take this airfield quickly. And get those damn guns knocked out."
"We will do it sir, don't worry."
Kurt grinned and nodded, as he really wasn't worried. His troopers hadn't let him down on Malta and they hadn't let him down in Kiev and Minsk. They wouldn't let him down here. Fighting continued to rage all across the airfield and town as more Germans floated down and landed in gliders....

Over Turkey
Captain Aras Bektas knew his life was over when he saw the Large force of German planes attack his home country, now it was time to do whatever he could do to make the German's lives Miserable. He threw himself onto the nearest Anti Aircraft anti aircraft gun and prepared it. The German Paratroopers were well trained and the Turks would only stand a chance if they were killed before they had even hit the ground. The Transport Planes and Gliders were the Primary Targets. He couldn't let anyone get past him.

Sinop Airfield; Sinop, Turkey. 08:30 AM, May 2nd, 1940
Kurt looked over the landing area and smiled to himself. His troopers had been on the ground for about forty-five minutes now and were pushing forward. There main targets at the moment were the anti-Aircraft guns that were still firing on the transports. The good news was that a good part of the Artillery of both Divisions had arrived and where now going into action hitting the Turkish positions, as his troopers moved up and assaulted the positions.
Loud sirens could be heard above Kurt and as he looked up he smiled. Heading towards the ground where the 108 Ju-87Bs of Sturzkampfgeschwader 51, with the intent of hitting the Flak Batteries firing up at them. They would only be able to make a couple of passes as then they would have to turn around and head home but whatever help they could do would be taken. Bombs rained down from the nimble bombers, hitting the Turkish positions.
On the ground the 1st and 4th Fallchimjager Regiments pushed forward to try and take all off the airfield, while the 3rd Fallchimjager Regiment held the landing ground for the rest of the Division's elements to arrive. In the 2nd Division's area, the 2nd and Sturm Regiment pushed towards the landing area of the invasion to help secure it for when the Sea force arrived. The 7th Fallchimjager Regiment linked up with the 3rd Regiment and held a continuous front. Fires raged from destroyed Transports and Gliders, but hundreds more had survived and now all elements of the Invasion force were on the ground.

Sinop, Turkey
Captain Bektas spun his Anti Aircraft gun around and opened fire on the Infantry that was advancing on the Airfield. The AA Guns and their High Explosive rounds would hopfully decimate the advancing infantry Force. However the German Divebombers were another target for the AA guns, now they had to split the fire of the remaining guns between Aircraft and Infantry.

Sinop Airfield; Sinop, Turkey. 09:00 AM, May 2nd, 1940
The loud rat-rat-rat of the 37mm AA Gun could be heard over the din of battle as German Paratroopers closed in on the guns. They had taken some heavy losses getting up to them, but now were in position to hit them. Orders where issued and 81mm Mortars began pumping HE and smoke into the AA's positions, and about a minute later the three Battalions of the 1st Fallchimjager Regiment moved forward to try and knock out the guns. The thirty-six surviving 75mm Howitzers turned their attention to the artillery fire falling on them to try and give the troopers a bit of a break. In the air the last of the Luftwaffe turned for home, as their job was done for the moment and they needed to refuel and rearm.
"General Student! General Student!" yelled a young trooper, looking for the General.
"Over here" Kurt called out, sitting next to a sandbag with a couple of his staff.
"Sir! Message from the 2nd Regiment! They have spotted the invasion force, and they are already heading for the beaches!"
Kurt smiled and nodded. "Good! Tell them to push hard for the beach, and have the Sturm Regiment take up a support position. Now we will give these bastards a run for their money."
The trooper nodded and ran off as the sound of naval guns could now be heard.

Sinop Turkey
At the Airfield the Turks continued to fire away at the German Infantry with every AA Gun. Meanwhile in the City of Sinop proper, the Turks sighted in the artillery, their target were not the Warships but the Landing Ships. However this task was only made more difficult by the incesant Naval Artillery Fire.

Sinop Airfield; Sinop, Turkey. 09:30 AM, May 2nd, 1940.
"Damnit knock out those guns! Once those are out we can move in on the Artillery!" Kurt yelled as he watched his troops get pinned down once more.
"Sir, I got the Romanian Navy on the radio, they are asking for targets." Kaptain Engleman said.
"Hit the AA Guns. Infantry to follow three minutes behind them." Kurt said quickly.
"Aye sir, send request now."
The battle continued to rage as the German Paratroopers pressed forward under the cover of the Navy's guns. Along the beaches some of the landing craft were hit from the Artillery fire, but many reached the beach and the Infantry of the 4th Infantrie Division poured out and began advancing forward. They were helped by the 2nd Fallchimjager Regiment which was moving up behind the Turkish beach defenders, helping to push them back. The Sturm Regiment also advanced, trying to move up against the Turkish Artillery pieces hitting their comrades and using the cover of buildings to advance.

The Turkish Forces were definatley getting hammered between the Romanian Navy and the German Troops, neverheless they continued to fight back against the German onslaught. The Artillery continued to Hammer the Advancing troops, however, many of the guns switched to hammering the Airfield it's self, in an attempt to utterly destroy the airfield and make it useless.
The Turkish commander issued another order and a few Regiments move to hold the Ports at all costs.
