TO: Charles DeGaulle FM: General Secretary Sergei Puskov
Monsiour,
Due to your radical change in your nation's government, I am declaring the deal we had made with exchanging weapons null and void.
Furthermore, all agreements are off. While the Soviet Union, and myself specifically, can appreicate the need for a change in government, Alan Manette was a fine man, and killing him was not a good move.
-Signed Sergei Puskov General Secretary of the Communist Party

TO: General Secretary Sergei Puskov FM: Prime Minister de Gaul
General, While I understand and respect your decision, please understand that I did not have a hand in his assassination. I was aware that a revolt took place and in France it is not usually wise to interfere with such an event. After that the people demanded a new leader and chose myself.
I hope that we may come to a new understanding in the future, so as we may have a prosperous relationship.
Prime Minister de Gaul
